Nebraska Medicine joins major diversity and inclusion initiative
Nebraska Medicine is joining a growing coalition focusing on diversity and inclusion. James Linder, MD, is one of nearly 2,000 CEOs coming together for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, committing himself and Nebraska Medicine to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
By signing on to this commitment, Nebraska Medicine is pledging to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion. The 2000 CEOs have already shared more than 1,400+ best known actions, exchanging what they’ve learned and discussing this via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com.

Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step toward making positive change. A diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community, but also drives innovation and creativity. A study found that 85 percent of those surveyed reported that diversity is a key component to fostering innovation.

The coalition represents 85 industries, all 50 U.S. States, and millions of employees globally.
