A nationwide survey by a well-known brand research agency, Monigle, asked health care consumers to name the organizations they trust. The top 10 list contains very well-known health systems and Nebraska Medicine is on the list at No. 5.

"I cannot imagine a higher compliment than being among the top health systems ‘that people trust,’” says CEO James Linder, MD. “Trust is a central part of all human relationships and at no time is this more essential than when we face the uncertainty of illness. We put our fate into the hands and wisdom of the health care team. I am grateful and proud of the work of our team that led to this recognition." 

Each of the more than 30,000 health care decision-makers surveyed had received medical care in the past two years and had health insurance. The survey was conducted in November and December of 2020.  

The results show which health systems have the strongest reputations in the primary markets they serve. In the case of Nebraska Medicine, our reputation in our primary service area, metro Omaha and beyond was the fifth strongest in the nation. 4. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (Columbus, Ohio)  

5. Nebraska Medicine (Omaha, Nebraska)  

6. Baptist Health South Florida (Miami, Florida)  

7. Stanford Health Care (Palo Alto, California)  

8. Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota)

9. Memorial Healthcare System (Hollywood, Florida)  

10. Emory Healthcare (Atlanta, Georgia)
