Question:

What would cause a lump above the left testicle (you can feel it but not see it) to make your penis numb and can't get fully erect?

Answer from Andrew Christiansen, MD, Urologist:

The lump may be your epididymis. The epididymis is the structure that sits like a hat on the top and back of the testicle. It is the first place sperm travel to when they leave the testicle. If you have any concerns regarding the lump you should have a physical exam performed by a physician. The issues with experiencing penile numbness and difficulty with erections are likely unrelated.
