After a stroke, your emotional and psychological well-being is just as important as your physical well-being. Support groups can be very beneficial during this recovery time. It's important to connect with other survivors and caregivers to share experiences, information and advice.
Nebraska Medicine and Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals - Omaha Campus have teamed together to create a stroke support group called "Nebraska's Hope for a Better Tomorrow Stroke Support Group" in hopes of providing stroke survivors and their caregivers support while adjusting to changes in their lives.
These meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

Online Support Groups:
At times, stroke victims and their caregivers may find themselves facing both physical and emotional barriers that may steer them away from participating in a local support group. With more and more communication happening online today, it is possible to join a support group online without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. Find an online support group here.
