Why Come to Nebraska Medicine for Neurological Rehabilitation Therapy?
Neurological rehabilitation therapy focuses on the physical and cognitive recovery of your body after a neurological event. Optimal functional recovery is the aim of physical and occupational therapy. Areas of focus include activities of daily living, ambulation and balance.
The Neurological Rehabilitation Department at Nebraska Medicine offers physical and occupational therapy services geared toward neurological recovery. Our therapists are specially trained to treat neurologic conditions and are certified for Parkinson's through Parkinson's Wellness Recovery and stroke through LSVT Big.
We offer computerized balance assessment, partial body weight supported gait training, wheelchair assessment, functional training in an adapted kitchen and bathroom, customized splinting, one-on-one treatment sessions, home safety assessment (as indicated), and functional tone management.
