A bike ride or a relaxing stroll are wonderful ways to exercise, especially as the weather gets sunny and clear. But crashes and accidents happen all the time, which is why safety is so important.
You have the power to protect yourself and others. May is National Trauma Awareness Month. In honor of this, here are some tips to help you stay safe.

Carry a flashlight and wear reflective clothing at night
Walk on a sidewalk or path
Walk on the shoulder and facing traffic if a sidewalk is not available
Use crosswalks
Don't use earbuds or other electronics
