Watch Sydney Speicher thrive after a knee injury, thanks to her hard work and the Nebraska Medicine Sports Medicine Program.

Sydney Speicher started dancing at the young age of 6. She immediately fell in love with the sport and has never looked back. Until a freak knee injury had Speicher wondering if she'd ever be able to dance again. A referral to orthopaedic surgeon Matthew Tao, MD, with the Nebraska Medicine Sports Medicine Program, revealed that Speicher had a dislocated patella. After surgery and rehabilitation, Speicher was able to pick up where she left off and even performed with her high school dance team who brought home a first place medal at the state dance competition.
